I recently released a new version of CasualConc (4.0).
This new version can create a multimedia corpus database in Regular - Database mode. It reads CasualTranscriber RTF files, which is associated with a media file and marked with time stamps.
As you may see in the above screenshot, if you search a multimedia database, Quick Play buttons appear on the table and when you select a line on the table, the time stamps appear on the text in the context view. You can play the media file on CasualConc and clicking a time stamp will take you to the time on the file.
Also updated is CasualTranscriber. It was updated last fall with an automatic transcription feature using Open AI's Whisper. A new version (3.0), which was released along with the new version of CasualConc utilzes WhiskperKit, a macOS-optimezed port of Whisper for macOS. WhisperKit utilize Neural Engine on Mac, so the transcription speed could be more than 10 times faster than Whisper.
Unfortunately, CasualTranscriber manual is only available in Japanese, but if you are breave enough, please try the new features. CasualTranscriber 3.0 also comes with media converter which converts audio/video files into m4a (AAC) and a Podcast downloader, which helps you to download episodes of podcasts.
If you try them and find any problem, please report the bugs to me.
